Octavia 1.4TSI Rear Coil Spring - Fitting

Featured Replies

Just discovered my OSR coil spring has snapped, but dealer wants £240 for placing both. Just wondered if its straight forward to replace, any special tools required. I can get the springs from EuroCar Parts for around £100 for two, dealer quoted almost £180 for two. Thanks in advance.

I believe the rears are pretty straight forward to swap, with no specialist tools required. Just need to disconnect lower bolt while safely on axle stands gives the clearance to remove and fit spring.

Dealers don't set part prices.

Thankyou, for you responses. Wheres the best/safety place for the stands and hydraulic jack on the rear and whats the torque setting for the "one bolt at the bottom", or is it a "tight as you can job" ??
