columbus 3T0 035 686 H

HW H21

SW6270

what i should do now?

You used a disc for the old unit which was compatible with the earlier software versions. Your Columbus is a 6*** version unit, so the old firmware disc is not compatible.

What to do now I don't know, as you're the first person I've heard of who's tried to kill their machine in this way (usually people try and load 6*** firmwares onto an older 5*** firmware unit, and that also doesn't end well).

I would suggest the best way forward is to reinstall the correct firmware for your unit. However, there's no guarantee this will work because as I said I've no experience personally. In all honesty, I would prepare yourself for buying a new unit, and anything better than that will be a result.

witch firmawre i can use?

i will try first download and burn firmware but witch one?

You've said in your first post what the firmware on the unit is. That's what I'd use.

Sorry rustynuts but I never done that before so I even don't know witch number is firmware.

If u can directly paste link witch will take me straight to firmware witch I need I will be really grateful

SW6270 is your firmware. Or more correctly Software, but the term firmware has become more commonly used.

I'm not able to link you to a download for the firmware though. There's a few places where it can be found however.

Please help!!! Where I can find my firmware?

I can't find...

I know 6276 is available, that's the only 6xxx version I'm aware of online.

Have you got VCDS to check it's correctly coded? Assuming the only problem is no sound...

I order one from eBay. 5238

That's too old for your unit if it started with 6270...

Please don't. Or at least, if you do can you take a vid of the result. :D

As said above, you need a firmware which starts with 6*** not 5***

Right.

It's this under factory warranty. The car is 2014

I wouldn't expect so as you deliberately tried to put the wrong firmware on...

You need to do two things, find a 6276 firmware disc and a local member with VCDS.

Even after update to 6276 stil need check with VCDS?

Some updates can clear the coding, so ideally yes you would check before and after with VCDS to make sure everything is correct.

That's probably irrelevant to your no sound problem. Tell your dealer to try to reinstall firmware. Refrain from telling what you did, just make a suggestion.
