Fuses

Featured Replies

This may have been posted about before I dunno ? :ne_nau:

Whilst doing a phone install on my wife's Fabia I managed to short out the interior lights with a screwdriver ( fitting the mic inside the courtesy light) so I dug out the owners manual to trace the location of the courtesy light fuse.

Now as far as I can see the owners manual although giving the numbers for each fuse (page 135 in my manual) it does not have a fuse panel layout ?

The fuses appear not to be numbered on the panel making the task of tracking down individual fuses a nightmare ! :banghead:

Luckily, I remembered that Stuart had the fuse panel layout on his site http://www.fabia-vrs.com/fusepanel.htm which I located and printed off & which is now tucked inside my owners manual ... well worth doing, thanks Stuart !

good idea, must do that myself... stick it to inside of fusebox cover

It does, on page 136. But some of the numbers are hard to read I'll agree.

Yeah, sorry you're absolutely correct I should have said page 136 of the manual in my original post.:o

The point I was making though is that although it does give you a fuse number it's not clear (to me anyway) where that fuse is then located on the panel.

By printing out the layout from Stuart's site it's then easy to locate & replace the correct fuse. :)

Note to myself: must remember to buy some spare fuses when next at the stealers ! :D
