New owner of Octavia classic tdi

Featured Replies

Hi all,

as title says i am now the proud owner of SC05 YJO.

first time skoda owner, driven a few of the newer ones with my employer so when i heard this one was unloved and basically dumped to rot away i took a punt on it,

The story behind it is, it's been of the road since december 2015,untaxed,no mot etc, previous bills for work are pre-tensioner,water pump, service etc,

required work as far as i can see are Mot and service is a must x4 new wheel trims carpet mats all round, replace o/s/f lower towing eye grille cover (missing)

o/s/f and n/s/f manual window regulators? as windows wont wind down? o/s/f window winder handle missing, the trim is missing where the manual adjust mirror handle/knob would be? o/s/f door lock needs looked at?

I have with the car it's handbooks original bill of sales, some service receipts.

I really do not know much about the Mk1's so any help or info would be very much appreciated.

The car should be getting uplifted next week and taken to a friends garage to get MOT'd got my fingers crossed it is not to heavy a report....LOL

All going well after the MOT and service it's just a case of getting it back to as good a condition as possible really, she needs a damn good detail which i do anyway, she'll get a full clay bar detox and machine polish/compound

I will take some before and after pics and post up

thanks for taking the time reading and any help/info on the mk1's parts, tips etc i would really appreciate
