I have a few days off and a mechenic friend with a pit. A towbar would be useful but I dont want to cut the bumper. I am a competent DIY Mechanic. Any recccomendations, suggestions and tips mechanical or electrical would be welcomed. I have VCDS.

Loads of info on here. Detachable balls (!) are the way to go. Westfalia do a good one. Rectangular hole in the horizontal underside needed.

 

Regardless of choice, fitting involves removing the bumper.
