average brake pad life?

Featured Replies

Hi all, just looking to find out the average brake pad life if possible for the furby vrs ? Thanks :)

well mine lasted around 29,000 miles when I had my Fabia. At the end of the day it depends on how hard you brake and for how long, so driving softly could make them last a fair bit longer (not that I drove mine hard)

I had 28k on mine when I changed them to the 312mm, see picture below

But like roo said it depends on your driving style!

Thanks, I'm not particularly hard on them so I'll wait and see:)

here is what mine look like with 28k of use

I'm 200 miles shy of 40k and nothing mentioned about changing them on the 40k service last week.

If I recall correctly I got 60k out of ones on my old Fabia TDi

I'm up to 18k, just had a set of front tyres, and took a good luck at the brakes, and they honestly seemed new, couldn't detect any wear at all!

18k when I switched to 312mm. Still had loads of life left.

I've done 52k on my vRS, still on originals. They are bl**dy dirty tho'. Got quite a bit of life yet. Don't hang around either, but lots of motorway use.

32K and counting

mine lasted 19000 miles :o)

 18k totally worn out replaced pads & discs.

note to self:

must drive more economicaly;)

Mines done 20k now and theres a huge lip on the discs sure SKoda will say something on the service on the 4th anyway i'll be going 312mm in the new year!

27k on the clocks, no problems yet - 312mm going on soon I hope now so kinda hoping I won't find out LOL
