Have aquired a Octy 1.9 TDI Estate, Have realised that the spare key wont work, (Key icon Flashes on dash) - is there any way to reset this ?

 

I've never done it but yes with vcds I believe. Google it.

Does the spare key actually have a transponder or is it just a spare cut blade to just open the doors.

My spare won't work either, mine will start the car for about a second but it cuts out straight away.
