Engine surge or clutch problem???

Featured Replies

Can anyone help me please...????

I have a 53 reg fabia vRS and for the last 15 months Skoda have been investigating and trying to fix and engine surge problem.

At 3000 revs in each gear the vehicle starts to surge fowards as I am driving which gets worse the longer it is held there. The car has been back to the dealer too many times to count, technical have had it at Milton Keynes for 6 weeks, finally changing the dual mass fly wheel. It got better for a couple of weeks but the problem came back quickleyand it is now doing it again.

Skoda have identified a fault and dont seem to be able to fix it and are now telling me that it is due to the fluid clutch and the fluid oscilating and causing the whole car to oscilate with it and that this is a "manufacturing normality" and that there is nothing they can do.

Has anyone else had this problem? Am I being fobbed off so they dont have to replace the car?

Can anyone shed any light on this for me please??

Thanks.

hhmmm seems you're being fobbed off to me, mine doesn't do this, and I can't say I've heard of it on the forum before.......

sounds like they are definately just talking for the sake of talking. i dont think they have a clue either.

sounds like there is a problem in the fuel delivery (not keeping the fuel flow steady) and thats just an uneducated guess im afraid.

keep on truckin'

Ive never had this with my vRS, never surges. Very well behaved. Sounds like their seeing if thay can get you to live with it.
