Filters.(Again)

Featured Replies

I am going to change the filter on my Vrs. Been thinking about a Green filter from JBS, looking at another site there appears to be a K&N filter available for my engine, does anybody have any experience in such filters for the Skoda.

I had a K&N filter in my Landrover and it was brilliant.

What are the advantage/disadvantages in these two fairly competitively priced filters.

And finally if I put one of these filters in the car how will effect my warranty?

I now promise not to ask any more questions about filters.

I put the K&N panel filter on my Octy 1.8T and it made a difference to the top end revs. Had it on for four thousand miles.

Both good, but Green has slightly less oil, so in theory should be better for your MAF.

Or for the same/less money you could get a CAI. Best £40 I've ever spent on a car by miles! Check out this link:

With regard to warranty, it will only be effected if the problem is a direct result of the new filter. Good thing about filters is that they can be removed and the car returned to standard quickly, so the Stealer never needs to know it was there in the first place!

Also try the search function- filters have been dicussed a lot.

Do you know a long legged bloke with mad hair who live's @ kingshill farm, Dursley/Purton, & play's hockey?

A K&N filter and a cleaned MAF have resulted in better throttle response, but that could be the credit card and placebo effects working together :)

Jonathan, no afraid I don't! Haven't lived here long, so don't know many people. Friend of yours?
