How to install an extra front camera in Bolero system

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I am installing a rear view camera in my Octavia III with Bolero audio system.

Until now camera is working fine and image only appears on main display when rear gear is engaged.

Now I wish to install a new front camera but, I am not able to find any method to input a new video signal to be displayed on main display.

Please, anybody knows how can I input a new video signal in my Bolero system?

Thank you in advance,

Did someone install a front camera?

I am also interested but obviusly nobody has done it...

Here it seems that it works with a simple aftermarket front camera and rear camera

Just because it can be done on an 8K Audi A4 doesn't mean it can be done on a Skoda Octavia - the Audi has MMI but the Octavia has MIB infotainment systems.

This is the only working examples I found and because very often cars of the VAG group use the same SW/HW, some configurations could work on different model and branch of the group.

Anyway I'm really happy if you could find something specific for the Skoda Octavia

Yes i think this switch is ok with front camera but the fact is “i think” that camera would give signal but on the radio you wont see it becous you put out of reverse and canbus stops video from rear camera when you put out from reverse and there would be no picture. You should find somehow to code that video go to can bus also in 1 gear to turn on camera i also would like to find how can be done
