Octavia vrs pd advice

I'm looking to buy a bigger car sometime soon as my trusty mk1 fabia vrs is just not big enough for my needs any more. Unfortunately my budget and the wife won't allow me to buy a cr engined vrs. I've read a few reviews online and mostly bits and bobs about them on here. The one thing that constantly pops up is that they are not the most reliable dpf injectors ect ect. My fabia was bought as a cheap run about when I bought my house. Liked it so much I just kept it and it's been 100% reliable. Can I expect similar reliability to my fabia with good servicing ect.
