Bluetooth woes

Featured Replies

Hi everyone wonder if you can help?

I have a 62 plate octy vrs with a columbus head unit. I bought the oem vag blue tooth kit to fit to my columbus head unit. I have taken it to my skoda main dealer to have it fitted and I have been told it's causing the car to throw up fault codes and can't be coded to fit or work. The module I have has 3C8 035 730E printed on it. Is this the right module?

I also have another piece with a number on

3B0 035 711B

I bought this kit online. I'm not sure whether it's the wrong kit or a dodgy module.

Hope someone can shed some light on this for me.

Cheers

Adam

Do you have maxidot?

I have the same module in my '61 Octavia with a Columbus but it needs maxidot to work properly.

Is maxi dot the screen between the rev counter and the speedo that shows the picture of the car when the doors are open? If so yes I do

Yup, if you have an image of the car with the doors open or shut then that's maxidot and their is no obvious reason why the dealer couldn't code it. It's most likely that they don't know how to...

You might have better luck with a local member with VCDS:

If they do have problems, you'll be able to post an autoscan here and any obvious issues can be resolved.

How do i contact another member in the Yorkshire or west midlands area

Have a look at the two threads I linked, that'll give you the username of some members and then you can send them a PM (private message) to ask for help.

The messaging system is under the little envelope symbol at the top of the page and should link to your inbox: http://www.briskoda.net/forums/index.php?app=members&module=messaging

You might need to make two more posts (5 in total) to access the PM system.

Note the other part number you gave is just the microphone. It's listed separately in parts catalogues.
