My 05 plate bkd does a strange thing going round bends at moderate speed. If the car hits a mid corner bump, the front stays planted, but the back end skips or hops out to the side. It has the 17 inch wheels and sports suspension. Does this possibly indicate the rear suspension needs some attention?? bushes etc?? the car is now 11 years old with 92k miles. Thanks.

Rear shock absorber on its way out is my guess.

Thanks its getting a big service soon and will get it checked over. Had a similar but worse thing on a golf a long time ago, the rubber spring guide had disintegrated and a chunk had got in between the spring coils.
