VRS tfsi exhaust options

Featured Replies

back box on my 06 VRS petrol has given up the ghost, looking online there doesn't seem to be a great deal of pattern parts available to replace it with from your average motor factors and stainless replacements seem to start around £500 and then the insurance will try and bend me over for fitting "performance enhancing parts".

anyone else has to replace the back box or system and what did you do?

£500 is what you'd pay for a Milltek cat back system!! Anyone charging that for a back box is ripping you off!

Any of the custom exhaust shops such as LongLife will offer standard specification in stainless steel for much less than that, lifetime guarantee and no need to inform insurance as its OEM not performance upgrade.

The exhaust from the cat back is one piece, either go full system or go to a loca exhaust place and just get the back box replaced with a stainless one

the insurance will try and bend me over for fitting "performance enhancing parts".

You are fitting a stainless system so it doesn't rust, for longevity, not performance ;)
