Audience Radio Auxilliary Output Not Working

Hi Guys, I hope someone can help me here please.

I have just bought a 2008 Octavia Est L&K 2.0 FSI Auto but have just found that the Aux input to the radio is not working. I want to play my music on my iPhone through the radio via the Aux input. I have 'activated' the Aux input in the radio menu and tried all of the Aux Output settings and NOTHING. I have even connected the cable directly from the Aux socket under the armrest, directly to my iPhone and still NOTHING.

Have any of you got any ideas please?
