Sensor clean?

Featured Replies

All my other car's i have cleaned some sensor's and the car behaves a bit better.

I'm struggling to find any on the cr170 CEGA engine.

Or am i not looking in the correct place?

Which sensors are you referring to?

Normally inlet boost sensor.

Did it on my AVF and TD5 engines.

Do i not have one that can be cleaned? normally they get mucky and a little clean does them good?

You have a boost sensor, more commonly referred to as a MAP sensor but it lives on one of the lower boost pipes at the front of the engine. They don't tend to suffer despite having a film oil on them from the drawn in breather gasses.

Cleaning it with a little contact cleaner or brake cleaner wouldn't do any harm though.
