Paint help

Featured Replies

Hi all I have got my paint code of 9151 which from what I can find is STONE GREY but on my log book it says blue now the colour is actually a silver with a blue tinge. I need to get a chip repair kit so which paint colour do I use, does this stone grey have a blue tinge thanks for any help

9151 is stone grey it's the same as mine. I always go off the paint code. Mine has a bluish tinge to it too. 3bb8117263a5a3bc630cf2a0cc748574.jpg

My old mkI was the same colour. When I bought a touch up stick for it when I told the parts guy it was stone grey, he said "ah yes, blue".

It all depends on what lighting conditions it's seen in. Some of my mot's say blue and some say grey, can't remember what the logbook says though. If your getting a touch up stick make sure you shake it very well before using it.

Park it next to a green car and it will look very blue, but next to a blue car it won't. I like the colour.
