Central Locking altered it's operation

Hi there, on my Octavia vRS estate the central locking has altered the way in which it works. One click on the key fob to unlock it used to unlock all the doors and the tailgate all at the same time. Now one click to unlock only opens the doors and not the tailgate. The tailgate can only be opened by pressing the boot/tailgate button on the key fob.

 

Any suggestions? i suspect i have pressed a button down for too long or something and altered the settings, the handbook is not very clear!

Have you started using the 2nd key?

Hi Kenny, no it's just the same key that is was using before.

It could be somehow the car has gone back to factory settings. 1 click drivers door only, 2 clicks all other doors and boot. I believe this can be rectified easily with carista app and an ODB2 adapter or VCDS.

If your car has maxidot, it can also be altered using that. Although I do not think your year of car had maxidot. Any other member who knows more, feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

 Thanks for your reply, the car has Maxidot and that is correctly set to open all doors on one click.  So it looks like the car has developed an issue, i'll have to get it booked into our local indie Skoda Specialist.
