Hi has anyone had to deal with this code. It is 

P0651 - Sensor Reference Voltage 'B' Circuit/Open

 Car starts but goes into limp mode.

Have swapped out ecu and still get same code 

Have checked wiring and no obvious damage

Any help gratefully received

The sensors have the same power feed, and the corroded wires inside the EGR valve can cause a short circuit that messes up the signal of other sensors.

If you unplug the EGR valve and erase the faults only the EGR related faults should come back.

 

seems a simple check that would start to rule things out or confirm something

Thanks bluecar1, tried disconnecting EGR but just got a second code

Finally sussed the problem.

Nothing to do with EGR

Throttle body sensor

disconected it and I can now drive as reving normally

Just waiting for new part

throttle body was the other thing that can up in the search
