Citigo 30,000mile service

Featured Replies

So our Citigo ASG has now just had its 30,000mile service since we purchased it just over 2 years ago.

  • Faults to date? 1 daylight running bulb which had failed
  • Warranty claims to date? 1 radio booster

And how much have we spent on the servicing of the citigo in the 30,000miles.......... £NIL as we took the 0% finance which gave this added extra.

Worth noting that all the tyres are on 5mm (but this maybe assisted by the winter tyres we used for 4 months)

So owning a Citigo is painless as an ownership proposition from our point of view. The dealer is excellent and always gets top score on the surveys that skoda issue out.

It's worth pointing out that it feels as screwed together as the day we picked it up !  :sun:

Been thinking about getting a CitiGo/Up for a while so that's good to know. If you get the time, a little "What's good vs What's bad" after 2 years of ownership would be interesting.

Good to hear.

I had a citigo for a year, and it was great.

Just got an UP! and enjoying it as well.

Got 70mpg going to work yesterday :)

Cracking little cars, whatever the badge you choose

I've had my Citigo for 6.5 weeks, and it's been wonderful.

After spending a year driving a diesel Yeti, it's been nice to drive a small, light and nippy motor with quite a fizzy little petrol engine that just begs you to drive as fast as is possible!

I'm certain if you put one of the 1.2 TSi units in there, you'd be able to bend space and time!

Mines 22months old with 27k on the clock it's a cracking little thing always get around 55mpg, no mechanical issues but mines a warranty magnet so far it's had a delaminating windscreen (replacement is now doing the same) a stereo (kept freezing), pid unit (charging issue) a rear seat belt (wouldn't pull out) need to take it back for the screen, wheel centres corrosion, both door rubbers perished and rust on the quarter panel by the fuel filler. Still love it tho

I put 107,000 miles on my last one. Only warranty repairs where an aerial base and a dodgy evap valve, although that may have only flagged as flaky due to poor front hubs (it's complicated). Out of warranty repairs, after 100,000 miles where one coil pack and one bit of chafed wiring where the loom goes behind the battery (new cars have revised loom so shouldn't happen now). An ongoing issue was wobbly disks. Although I advised Skoda of this early on in ownership, they wouldn't cover it under warranty. I replaced the disks, but the problem seemed to come back any time the front wheels where removed and replaced. I reckon poor hubs to be the root cause. So far, new car doesn't seem to have a problem here.

Get one, they are great!
