Should get it 3rd March 2006.

This'll be my first Skoda so if anyone has any hints, tips, advice, suggestions or whatever, please let me know - it'd be most appreciated!

Just spent a bit of time looking back thru old posts and one item that seems to crop up regularly is the stereo / speaker combination.

It would appear that a few owners have replaced front and rear speakers and disconnected the rear tweeters - I'll have to have a listen when it arrives :confused:

Also, could anyone tell me whether the 2006 Octy stereo has an aux input for ipod's, I couldn't see anything in the brochure, but then again, it is dated 1st June 2005, so things may have changed!

Hello and welcome to the site -

I think you will find that mods to the stereo/speakers is something that was needed on the MK1 Octys.

The stereo in the MK2 is miles better and unless your looking for some serious sounds is more than up to the job.

No didn't plump for 'Audience' option, I kinda wish I had, but it's a company car and the 1.9TDI with ESP package just took me up to my spend limit so I thought that'll do for me.

Dont worry mate the stream system is pretty good.

As far as the Aux in is concerned, connecting to ipod is not possible ....yet. I believe Skoda are going to be doing an adapter soon that will allow this, I use an fm transmitter meantime and it does a decent job.

JohnnyC is the expert on Aux in so seach this forum for his previous postings.
