Hi All,

       This is my first Škoda, having driven a hired Octavia on holiday in 2011, I knew that an Octavia would be my next car. I don't change cars very often my previous was an 05 3.2 Gsi Vectra that I had from when it was 18 months old. I picked up a lovely 2015 Corrida Red Vrs from ridgeway Škoda, Oxford with just 3200miles on the clock and so far I am loving it. The 2.0l turbo, delivers it's power differently from the 3.2 but is a great car to drive, higher in BHP, almost identical top speed, not that I will be anywhere near it, faster acceleration and an alround better feel to it.

 

 I look forward to a long association with this car as I did with my previous car.

Hi Ian, Welcome to the Forum. Like you I've recently bought my first Škoda and I'm really enjoying the experience. I'd only ever driven a Fabia before but knew this MkIII Octavia was going to be right to replace my A3. I have the petrol 2.0 Ltr Octavia vRS Combi, in slightly less lively, but gleaming, Silver!

Welcome along Ian. Hope the vRS serves you for as long as the Vectra. Technology has progressed a lot even since 2005 and the four cylinder 2.0 unit can easily match and even outperform a V6 3.2, apart from the grumble the V6 of course . Enjoy the Octavia!
