Turbo replaced - different problem!

Featured Replies

Firstly thanks for taking the time to read!

I have a 2006 Superb 2.0tDI (boo!! i know) The turbo went on it a week ago and I managed to get a remanufactured one from euro car parts for £250 (after giving them the knackered one back).

I've had it put in the car however now the turbo will not activate in first or second gear and yet is fine in the rest of the gears? In first and second the revs do not go above 2,000RPM.

Can anyone please advise what the problem might be? Diagnostics are not revealing anything =/

Thanks again!

Do you know about the oil pump drive failure that 2.0 engines suffer? Are you sure that hasn't happened?

I'm aware, it was definitely a turbo problem.

No idea then, good luck with it :)

Does anyone have any ideas?

I have taken off the Mass Airflow Sensor and cleaned it with contact spray, waited and put it all back together and still no change.
