What VCDS for MY17 car?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I just got my MY17 combi TSI, that I ordered without some optionals that can be enabled just with coding, like turning fog lights, hill hold assist, and I want to activate needle test for instruments, and some other things.

I own an ELM327 wifi adapter and a VCDS 12.06 version that I used with my old Octavia II 1.9TDI MY07'.

Can I use my old VCDS v12 to edit only this codifications? I read that last version (15.7) is needed for MY16 when coding infotainment module, but I don't know if it is needed for other modules also.

I own an old iPhone 4 that I can use with iCan + ELM327, but I think MY17 are not supported.

If I perform a complete autoscan, can I recover the original coding if something goes wrong?

If I cannot use any of the previous versions or stuff that I have, where can I get a MY17 compliant adapter / software?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Paco

Dont touch it with v12 unless you want to break it. Any particular reason why it is still on v12 - hooky copy by any chance?

It is a clone that I used with my my07 octavia II (1z pre FL) to diagnose and service interval reset only. I am thinking about buying the original wire to have support from Ross tech, but I don't know if it supports MY17 cars yet.

Ask Ross-Tech?

If it doesn't support them now, it will do within a few months.
