rear brake noise

Featured Replies

Hi all.

I have had a metallic scraping noise from drivers side rear wheel. I took wheel off other day and pushed that metal dish back a bit at the back of discs although there was some clearance but still the noise. It's worse driving slowly and when drivers side is under load tends to quieten when turning to passengers side. If anyone could advise i'd really appreciate it. Many thanks. Andy

Wheel bearing?

Are Pad's OK, no stones stuck behind the Disc Shield ?

It's quite likely to be the actual shield hitting the disc, mine started off making similar noises to yours, came and went depending on steering angle and braking but now it's constant and the shields are rattling over bumps. I'll be fitting s3 rear brakes this weekend and removing the shields.

Thanks for that Ritchie I did look at that and push it further away from the discs there was already a descent gap between them. Might be pads

Cheers mate
