URGENT HELP NEEDED

Featured Replies

Hey guys

As some of you know I've had issues with cooling fans. Looks like water in fuse box. I've disconnected battery, removed and cleaned fuse box, reinserted and connected battery back up.

Now car won't start. :(

Plugged VCDS on and no response from Engine control Module?

Everything else seems ok but car won't start because no signal from ECM?

Any ideas as to why this should suddenly stop working? All fuses and relays are back in correct location, I've double and triple checked as I took a photo before removing. Fuse box definitely refitted correctly.

Need the car for the morning, hopefully :(

Sounds like the ECU isn't getting power which would tie into the work you've done on the fusebox.

I'd be checking the fuse and relay that connect to the ECU first.

Is it only the ECU that isn't shown in an autoscan?

Yeah all other controllers are responding. Just Ecm not communicating.

Fixed it. Weird confused fuse. Not blown still intact, works in other ports but for some reason won't work in Ecu slot. Swapped with cigarette lighter fuse and hey presto car starts?

It's been one of those days

Excellent, glad it was a simple one :)
