Hi folks, I've got an Octavia courtesy car just now ( 16 plate, 1.6 diesel), whilst I await delivery of my 230.When I get out of the car to open the garage, I leave the engine running, but an alarm (beep beep) keeps sounding , ..Anyway to disable this? Ta :-)

Simple, switch off. And on a more serious note - if the car gets nicked with the keys in the ignition with or without the engine running, then the insurance company won't pay on theft. 

Bump..surely there must be a way to switch this off !

Yeah close the door after you and the alarm will stop. Simple.

Not aware of any way to stop the warning. My Audi bongs and beeps if you dare step outside with the engine running. Most modern cars do this now, Japanese ones have been doing it for years.
