Hi All

Got my first Skoda a New Octavia 2.0 TDI L & K.

Brill car to drive for first week, only had it about six weeks but spent half of that in retailers garage with engine problems eg lack of power and intermittent spluttering.

Has any other members had any similar problems with theirs.

Cheers

Welcome to Briskoda :D and sorry to hear about your engine problems. :(

Oh dear, that's just what we were intending to buy. Keep us informed about the problem and (we hope) its resolution.

I can not fault the car when it is going ok.

The retailer where I got the car did not seem to know what to do, I took car to local garage and was told car was running on 3 cylinders and was probably an injector, told retailer and they discussed with Skoda Auto.( without any computer)

Retailer exchanged 1 injector, got car back went 500mtrs and found car had same fault, another week went past and they decided to change a second injector, got car back today.

I thought that they would change all injectors to eliminate any other problems but they have not.

We did have a curtsey car over this time a basic Fabia, you then realise what you have missed with the L & K.

Sounds like you've been unlucky. I haven't heard of OctyII TDi engine problems on here yet. Everyone seems pretty pleased save for a few niggles. Bit of an anticlimax though with it being a new car and all. Hope you get it sorted and don't forget to keep us informed.

Welcome to Briskoda by the way

Get a few piccies on here, everyone likes a duke at a new motor.

Sounds like the MAF; I had mine changed under warranty. But the Skoda dealer should have plugged it straight into the diagnosic machine.???
