I drove the New Octy Vrs today!

Saying that it was only briefly, a quick blast down the A14 in Cambridgeshire.

My first thought as I got behind the wheel was that it feels bigger than my Octy 1. When I say, that I mean the car as a whole. You could be driving a big Merc or something.

But the dash seemed very close; I felt that it was all on top of me. Everything was to hand Dual zone climate control, radio cd player, controls everything was there. The radio looked like the system out of my father in laws Torean big grey screen with all the info on it. I think that the interior lets it down a bit.

The general manager at Vindis said that the car is what people want it to be, an executive saloon or a boy racer car.

If you are a executive then you will get a lot of car for the money. If like me you brought an Rs for some fun then you again will be happy. But because it is a fairly luxury car it does go away from the sporty hot hatch a bit.

The car that I drove had very few miles on it and I took it on a blast down a straight piece of dual carriageway the extra 20hp that it has over my car were not particularly noticeable top end power was quite nice though if it had 12k miles on the clock like mine than it would make a little bit of difference.
