Hello everyone, hope someone can help.

Car:- Fabia 1400 8valve 2001.

Problem:- engine running, with lights on, lights flickering erratically & intermittently, thought it was alternator playing up, had it checked out,...ok

Fault occurs also with lights off, but not noticable.

When fault occurs, a motor can be heard running consistently with the flickering lights & fluctuating voltage, located noise to Power steering reservoir/motor/ which also has controller built in.

Anyone out there had similar problem?

Pump might well be on the way out if its noisy.

Have you checked the fluid level?

Is the battery ok?

Pump is ok, not noisy, steering is fine,fluid level is right,also battery,

Fault is only noticable at night when the lights flicker, as if you were switching from

main beam to dip quickly, dash lights also do the same. no other faults show.

thought it might be common problem

Had the same problem on mine since I bought it 3 years ago, I live with it..........
