Yeti Wheel Sizes

Featured Replies

Hi there I'm eagerly awaiting delivery of a new Yeti 1.2DSG. Its on 17 inch wheels but as I'm in the habit of running a set of winter wheels/tyres I'm keen to find some new wheels. Looking at the spec it seems to have an ET of 40-45. How close do i need to stay to those. Im also thinking the winters will be 16 instead of 17 inches.

Hi Stuey :-)

As a new member - WELCOME  :hi: We are a friendly bunch here in the Yeti section.

I think this may help answer most if not all your questions on Tyres / Wheels = LINK

It is in the Yeti Technical Guides section = HERE - Just in case you had not already found it. MASSES of Yeti Technical info...........Hope some of this helps for when your "Snow Monster" arrives. - Tony

Just seen Brian has beaten me to it with Tim's (The Plumber) excellent guide

If you e-mail VW group with the chassis number of your Yeti then they will send you the Certificate of Conformity document for your car, which amongst other things lists the wheels that are type-approved for use on the vehicle.  See here.  You need to tell them your name & address as well, so that they can post the document to you.  It's a single sheet of A4.  I have the one for my Yeti, just in case anyone (eg an insurance company) starts asking potentially awkward questions about my 16" wheels.
