New Skoda in the Family

Featured Replies

Dad ordered his Octavia Estate 2.0 TDI DSG L&K at the weekend from Alex Lawrie Liverpool. He's hoping to get it in march but not had an offical date.

Anyway options. He's gone for front parking sensors, xenons, sunroof and curtain airbags, black magic and the beige interior.

Can't falt the sales man. Went in. Asked if you could match the price given in what car. Went off to the manager. Came back. Yes we can match it. So almost 2K of the list price.

Good deal.Nice car.

Thought L & K came with everything though.Especially Xenons? Obviously not!

Comes with everthing else.

options list for the L&K are:

Front Parking Sensors

Satnav

ESP

Curtain airbags

electric sunroof

xenons

pegasus alloys with sports suspension 17S

Sounds like a nice car.

Welcome to faboka's Dad! ;)

Not a great fan of sun roofs they always seem to cause more problems than their occasional use justifies.

Also with Air con and climate control a sun roof seems an unwarranted expense.

I agree. But my dad doesn't use the sunroof like most people would. Its for long peices of timber thats too long to fit in the car. :D

Suggest he gets a Scania and gives you the car

Sunroofs are great for putting kayaks etc on the roof on a long journey, checking they're still tied on and havent moved :)

Surprised you haven't gone for ESP. All reports are that ESP is a real life saver for that incident we all dread. Autocar did a test report and found that if ESP was fitted to all cars than thousands of lives would be saved. I got it on my L&K - specially when you see that VW fit is as standard on the Golf with the same basic chassis as the Octy.

Must have ESP. Not sure about sunroof at GBP665 on the Mk.2 - it was standard on our Mk.1 Elegance Estate. For GBP665 couldn't your dad buy a really neat roof-rack?
