H&R RARB Bolts

Featured Replies

I got a 2nd-hand H&R RARB for my Monte but it didn't come with any bolts to attach it to the bottom of the shock absorbers. Am I OK to use the existing bolts, or does anyone know of any bolts that I should be using?

Hi Dan

It came off my car, & I used the existing bolts, that's why you didn't get any with the RARB. If you must use new bolts, just make sure they are high tensile, with a nyloc nut.

I also have this RARB and also used exsisting bolts. BTW if you struggle to bend it into place a ratchet strap really helps.

Totally agree. At first sight you think "This is never going to fit", & it really does take some bending to fit between the lugs of the shockers. I believe the RARB is made from high carbon steel to give it some 'springiness'.

mine was bought new and came with extended bolts..... we got it in with a crow bar! :)

Which bar did you end up with Sharky? I'm RARB shopping myself at the moment :)

H&R ... its the stiffest one, best in my opinion, and amazing results in the handling dept. :) didn't know you had found a car! lol... well done :) hope you are enjoying it!
