VRS seat seams

Featured Replies

Evening all,

just finished giving the car a good clean whilst the missus is out and I've noticed that the a minute few of the seams on the drivers seat seem to be almost at breaking point; as in there is a visible gap of about 1.5mm appearing between the other seam. The seam in question is where the 'corrugated' bum part meets the 'hamstring' flat area.

I've not got the fattest ass in the world (i'd be a middleweight boxer if I fancied getting punched about the head  :giggle: ), the car is just on 9mths old - has anybody else experienced such a thing on their motor?

Cheers

Mine is pretty similar, although I'm a fat bar steward and the car as been subjected to 3 years and 32k miles of my ar*e.

Still seems to be holding together although if I was keeping the car much longer I might be more concerned however I don't think upholstery is covered after 6months.

You're correct - just checked, 6500m or 6mths. Ha. Guess I may need to go diet.

I'm aiming to keep mine for at least 6-7yrs, although I said that about my Ibiza, suppose if it all goes wrong I could get the sewing machine out

All good here 2.1/2 years in.
