Hi everyone I have a 60 plate Fabia vrs just recently purchased it has done 69k i took it for a service and he said the old plugs look live they've had oil on them does any one know what this is thanks

Oil on the spark plugs is not really an issue if it was oiling the plugs before them being removed.

 

The issue is if it is run very hot, and then allowed to cool down, plugs out and still oiled.

 

?

So how many miles had the plugs been in since changed last.

What condition other than oil on them, were all 4 in good condition with the correct gap,

had you any misfires, or is the engine using too much oil?

 

Are there new plugs in now with the correct gap, and are those the ones Skoda spec (NGK's)?
