Fabia VRS Servicing

Featured Replies

Good morning all,

I'm not a regular on here, but I was hoping that someone may be kind enough to help me out.

Anyway, I turned my Furby on this morning and what I can only assume to be the service warning flashed up (A flashing spanner with "Maint" written under the odometer). When I got to work this had stopped flashing but the spanner remained alongside the odometer.

The car's an 05 plate (10 months old)and has done 9,240 miles. Does it need to go in for a service now, or can I wait until the actual service interval?

In addition, how much is the 1st service likely to be, my closest dealer is Robert Eardley in crewe/Stoke.

Cheers.

Badders.

The service has to be done at 10,000 miles, or 1 year, which ever comes the soonest. (Don't leave it more than 500 miles past 10,000 it may affect your warranty)

A 10,000 mile service is just an oil change.

An annual is the oil change plus minor inspections.

I would suggest you get the annual done, cos if you get the lub done you may require your annual in 2 months time.

The service warning comes on with 1000 miles to go before the service is due so just make sure you book it in for when the car hits around 10k miles. Looks like you might need an annual service (assuming the car hasn't had a service so far) so set aside

had my 3rd service done yesterday at 31k, cost

is everyone on the fixed servicing programme (every 10k)? I understood there was a variable servicing option for higher milage drivers?

According to the techie's there is no variable service option available on the Fabia as it doesn't have all the necessary sensors. Some dealers seem to offer it though, but I think the official line from Skoda is it's not an option........ could have changed now though

Thanks for the info.
