Featured Replies

Im new here nice to meet you

So i have some sport wheels which has been diamond cut and have been lacquered

After having them on for two days hey are dirty so I'm going to clean them and will continue to do so as i know diamond cut wheels are a life long commitment

Anyway so i have a routine i have gathered from reading online can someone help me

They are: (note its the first time I'm washing these)

Wash (not a jet wash just some normal shampoo and then clean with some warm water)

Polish ( use autoglym resin polish with micro cloth)

Sealant (poor boys , will put two coats on then after every cash wash i do a car wash once a week or every two week)

Wax ( will put 3 coats on then every four weeks)

What do you guys think? Shall i skip the polish and go straight to sealant and wax?

Also lets say once iv done the above i want to wash my wheels so i have to put on the sealant and wax again? And do this every time i wash my wheels?

Thanks guys

Hey, welcome along!

Diamond cut wheels are pretty sensitive, so you're bang on with handling them with kiddy gloves.

For me personally, I would clean them with a recommended cleaner sensitive enough not to damage them obviously, and then give them a wipe down with panel wipe. From there, you can use a specific wheel coating, which will last a lot longer than the poorboys wheel sealant. I haven't used this one, but Carbon Collective Platinum Wheels has a few fans!

After that, a wash will suffice, but if you want to wax after that, you can. The coating will protect them though.

HTH mate.
