A New Twist In The Warranty Plot - Seat Adrenalina

Featured Replies

Have you seen this? Seat Sport is launching Adrenalina, a new factory-supported chip scheme, for TDI engines initially, but I'm sure the 1.8T will follow.

Please overlook the fact that Seat are calling it an "Electronic engine thrust enhancing module" (  ) - it's a chip.

More importantly, "The module can be installed at dealership garages and official SEAT service centres, and the modifications will not affect the car's warranty conditions."

And why will warranty be upheld?

"The electronic engine thrust enhancing module optimises engine management, providing increased vehicle dynamism and sporty driving pleasure without diminishing the engine's life-cycle."

"This electronic modification increases engine thrust and torque throughout the entire rev range. At low and medium revolutions the increased torque will result in quicker, more effective engine response, giving greater driving comfort and safety."

Blah-dee-blah...

But you get the point. So when will Skoda follow?

There was someone on Seatcupra.net who got a "Seat Sport" chip with his imported Ibiza TDi 130. it cost
