Roadside Assistance 7 years on new vehicle

Featured Replies

Hi

The roadside assistance offered on a new fabia; is it comprehensive?  I checked the forums and only found one going back to 2011.  Any updates please?  I'm looking for insurance quotes for it at the moment and I told my existing insurer that I would no longer need the option of their breakdown assistance option but they've told me that the Skoda option is not comprehensive and I would still need to add it to my policy.  Doesn't seem right to me!

Any help greatly appreciated

Thank you

Just get Skoda UK or the Dealership to give you the T&C's of Skoda Roadside assistance,

Onward Travel etc, and for 3 years.

It is as good as anyone else is providing you.

Are you looking at buying 5 years of Warranty with your new car?

Then be sure Skoda UK or the Dealership gives you in writing the T&C's and tells you if Skoda Assist is also extended.

If you google skoda roadside assistance

there is a pdf for the Skoda Warranty Booklet and it has the roadside assistance information

I don't think it includes home start/assistance?

That is when people push it off the drive and a little along the road.

Then call for Roadside Assistance.

Thank you GoneoffSki I'll take a look at the T&C.  I didn't receive this with the pre-purchase folder.  I'm in France and roadside assistance is being offered for 7 years, so I'll carefully check the details.  Thank you for your help

Hi RickW

I'll check that, thank you for your help.  And I'll be pushing onto the road too.  Thank goodness the Fabia weighs less these days.

Absolutely!  Rire à haute voix!

I have used skoda assitance a lott. When my car was still under warrenty they would fit the new part on my drive way free of charge. I renewed skoda assitance for another 2 years when my car was 3 year old and the warrenty expired price was £140 ish. They still come out to the house when I break down and fit new parts all I have to pay is for the part labour is included with my membership. So home start is included really good service but you do have to ask for the skoda mechanic to attend as they normally try to send the aa.
