Ok so i had to replace my wiper linkage with one from a scrappy as was from a really old octavia pre facelift(octys are rare to find in scrapys plus I had no wipers!!), to my 2002 and when i went to refit my golf aero arms the passenger side one over hung the winscreen! so i had to refit the standard ones, i did notice the spindle bit was sticking up higher so has any one got a pic of the wiper spindles please?!

You didn't put the arms on the wrong side did you ? sorry if that sounds dumb

That actually makes sense; on mine both spindles are on the same side of the centreline, I think the arms are different lengths, and the blades certainly are.

Well the facelift was only cosmetic, bumper bonnet lights and possibly wings but nothing structural or anything like that so I can't see why the wipers would be any different.
