Not got a massive budget so will have to be springs, just seeing what springs people are using, photos with name of springs would be great!

H&R are pretty much as good as it gets.

Trouble is if your shockers are tired it'll drive like a pig. I had brand new standard Bilsteins when I stuck lowering springs on my VRS, & hated it. Took them off 2 weeks later & went back to standard VRS springs.

Coilovers are definitely the way to go in my opinion.

So you rate the H & R Springs as good, but hated (these or other lower springs?) on your Bilsteins and then went back for OEM VRS springs on your Bilsteins?

For me on H & R's the car cornered better, & the stance was much improved, but on the standard shocks it was crashy on undulating road surfaces, & felt boat like. I'm sure on uprated shocks it would be a different story, but I wasn't prepared to throw anymore money at it.

Ah, ok, I thought you were running Bilsteins with these shocks!

Yes I was running standard OEM VRS Bilsteins with H&R springs. There are uprated Bilsteins that would probably done a better job. In my case I replaced the original 100.000 miles old stock Bilsteins with new thinking that might solve things, but it unfortunately it didn't work for me. It just didn't float my boat, but it did drive like one! :wonder:

Oh, I didn't realize Bilsteins were OEM (or OEM like replacements), always thought they were Monroe or Sachs. You're right for lowering springs you probably need beefed up Bilsteins...
