Just bought some vogtland -50mm lowering springs for my vrs

Featured Replies

So after lots of searches on lowering springs i decided to go for the vogtland ones,

i wanted to go as low as i can and keep good ride quality, when you take into acount the vrs is already 10-15mm lower most springs dont make much difference to the look of the car, so my options were limited to,

H&R extra low -45/50 not vrs specific as you have to deduct the 10-15mm off of this amount ,  £150-200

Eibach sportline around -25/30mm but not available at present   £?

PI -30mm vrs specific   £112

Vogtland -50mm not vrs specific so deduct the 10-15mm already lowerd   £170

so when i saw the vogtland ones on offer at deemon tweeks for only £107 deliverd i went for it, after reading good reviews from the golf mk5 forums it turns out vogtland make koni springs so can be matched to koni shoks, lets hope they live up to what i am expecting as it seems not many, if any have them fitted to a vrs .

I've got the -30 or whatever the other H&R springs are and I'm really happy with the ride quality, hardly feels any different from standard as far as comfort goes. I'm not really happy with the ride height tho and will be looking to change to -40/50 ones.

I will be interested to hear what you think of the ride quality on the ones you have.

Post soMe pics once you have them fitted!,
