Coolant warning light

Featured Replies

Upon starting the engine the coolant warning buzzer sounds for a while

When car running the dashboard indicator (showing a thermometer) stays on for  a while - and then turns off

It appears to be an intermittent fault

I've checked the radiator water levels and that's Ok, the temp gauge in the car shows top dead centre

I,v tried to check the radiator fan fuse , but infuriating the handbook does not show the fuse number

The fan was not working when I checked it when the engine was hot  ?

The car has done 20k miles from new - but the car is "old" on a Y reg

Any advice appreciated

Regards

Lodestone

Both coolant temp sensor and the level sensor in the header tank are both common issues and well covered.
