Chris Knott Insurance

Featured Replies

Just thought I'd give a big  to Chris Knott Insurance.

I got the renewal notice through from LV for Mrs.rich1068's Polo Sport. We know LV are no longer mod friendly so I was shopping around and Eddy recommended Chris Knott.

Two year old Polo TDi 100 PD Sport, CC remap, 3 points for me (SP50), 6 for her (SP30s), both as named drivers with full no claims but one 'incident' in 2005, kept on the street, business use for both of us, protected NCD, 10k miles per year, courtesy car, legal protection, both of us classed as 'high risk', all the usual bells and whistles.

Chris Knott wouldn't insure me! Maybe i'll try them again when I'm 30 :(

Glad to help Rich!

Dave, they insured me and I'm 27, my car has quite alot of mods but obviously not the same amount of power as yours.

Beleive it or not - I had to email them a document detailing everything inside and out and it was only when i told them i had taken stuff OUT like the stereo that they started getting funny! :thumbdwn:

I had to fax them a list of all my mods, didn't realise quite how much I'd done but there were over 50 modifications listed.

I just swapped over to Chris Knott... hope they're better than Adrian Flux! AF cancelled my policy - twice! - cos they said I hadn't sent through a copy of my driving license..... which I had, twice....

Let's see how CKI do when my paperwork comes thru ;)

Bit rich for me, 25, clean licence & history - low risk area, still nearly

Must admit Chris Knott were best for us and friendly to boot.

We had had the Octavia seriously modified by Jabbasport and we live in London!

Our origin insurer would not insure us and Chris Knott came up with the most sensible quote - around

I just thought I'd comment again on Chris Knott.

I have just insured my Octavia with them after the renewal from LV jumped from about

Have just renewed with Chris Knott. Well chuffed! They undercut my renewal with Adrian Flux by over £200. Now paying just over £400 for a chipped Octavia Vrs which I don't think is too bad!

F***in Spiders thats cheap for an Octy VRS, i think i shall be giving them a ring tomorrow and telling Admiral where to shove their policy.

Another vote for Chris Knott, they came in best on the somewhat modded 4x4, Ive just insured the Diesel Octy as a second car & with technically starting again on the no claims (you cant use no claims on more than one policy) they have mirrored it or something, anyway its £320 fully comp on the L&K & that includes business use & only £100 excess.

Ok Im old & I know it but I still think thats good
