It's failed (stuck open). I can see it right bang at the front of the engine but the metal pipe coming off it goes under the manifold and I can't see if it's easy diy to replace. Has anyone done so, or found a guide online? Regards,

I have managed to squeeze my hand there but it wasn't easy unfortunately this has not solved the problem so i took the carbon canister out and blow it through with air.

A bit of petrol came out and the problem gone ????

Thanks for the reply, interesting- did you blow air along the pipe from the catch can to Evap valve?
