Flat spot 4th gear approx 4k revs.

Featured Replies

Don't give it the beans that much but the other day I was reving it hard and noticed a sudden loss of power for a second or two before it came back. Tried it a few times and it doesn't always happen. What could be up? Breaking down injector? It has a shark map on it that's been on for 3 years problem free.

No with it being mapped it's still pulling, once it gets over the flat spot it carrys on a little before the next gear is needed.

Would a boost leak do it only every now and again though?

Sometimes when a hose flexes on hard acceleration it can move look for any light oil residue on boost hose connections I know on the pd170 the actuator vacume line can leak,or a dirty egr valve can cause boost hesitation, just some ideas.
