I've had a good look through all the options and can't for the life of me see the option for single press of the key to unlock all the doors, hate having to press it twice to unlock the passenger door also.

There's an option in vcds I believe.

Scrap that then, turns out I've done it somehow.

Just went out and sounded like they all unlocked with 1 press, went round to the passenger door and it was unlocked!

Don't ask me how...

On other models maybe, I know on my girlfriends golf you can do it via the radio

It's done via VCDS - Central convenience module. Long code helping.

Annoys me too, think I'll just ask dealer to do it next time it goes in for a service

Mine was done along with the Autolock when you get to something like 10mph

 

Also had the seat belt ping turned off

Its called comfort unlocking or something like that.  Has to be deactivated - change 1 to 0

Only thing I changed was single door locking, wiper service mode and beep when unlocking and it's worked so... must be something to do with single door locking!

So if I say bought a VCDS cable off eBay (decent not cheapo), do I then need to D/load a programme?

Change the settings to Australian and enable alternative speed display or something like that.

It was the first change I made a few month back and added oil temp display, it's the only two I ever look at!

The one lock or Speed in centre of display

The speed in the centre is one thing I'll do when m VCDS comes. There a few little things I think will satisfy me. The one press door unlock is defo one. They clunk enough as it is but to press it like 3-4 times takes the ****.

Just the one lock with carista don't have maxidot on mine did do needle sweep though
