EGR pipe split

Featured Replies

Guys, after thinking my car was trying to poison me, I discovered the EGR pipe had split - see photos. Using the part number ordered one off the internet and fitted (what an awkward bugger)

My query is this - when the new one arrived I matched everything up, only to note that instead of two metal gaskets, there was one metal and one card type material. Also the old gaskets have differing diameters. The new one were both the same diameters.

Why??

I think that the gasket with the smaller diameter was fitted to try and cure the later BLT engine stutter/hesitation

Hello can you remember how you remove this pipe, because i have the same problem and i want to replace it by myself. Can you explain me step by step how to remove it?

Thanks for your advise.
