Exhaust gas smell

I recently developed a smell of exhaust fumes inside the car so I started a little investigation as to where it was coming from. What I found was the EGR cooler pipe (I think that’s what it is ) it has sheared on the flexi. So if you smell exhaust fumes inside the car check this pipe first it cost £91 not including gaskets that’s another £7 ish but jobs done diy and no smell of fumes.
