Oddity with the key and lock

So, my 2003 RS FOB works in as much as when you click the unlock button it'll open all locks but the actual drivers side, that one has to be opened manually by using the actual key, but unless you open the driver side manually and open any other door beforehand the alarm will go off.. I need to test this a bit more.

 

Also earlier today i was holding the key in the drivers door and held it turned te the left a while as  though i was unlocking, all of a sudden all the windows started going down, and all the locks locked is that supposed to happen? I'm not sure if i held any button down on the FOB but i dont think so.. Also FOB has fresh battery in it.

 

I also noticed i cant control my drivers side mirror, nor will it heat up, whereas they both work (heater and control) on the passenger side.. What need i do?

Also .. how do i set the clock to use 24 hour format instead of 12? I cant' find anything about it in the manual..

Check the wiring in the rubber boot between a pillar and door, or could be corroded pin on the bottom of window motor. I had this on mine, and it was the corroded pin.

Turn the knurled knob to the left (ignition on) to alter the hours until you get past 12 mid day it should go straight to 1300 hours.

Thanks for the help man! I'll look it over next week, see if i can get to the wiring .. WOuld love to find a video on car door removal process though, found one but think it's for MK2, and not sure how similar it is.

 

ANyway my air vents are screwed. i cant adjust the up/donw angle oon any of them in the front .. not sure what happended but they dont respond to thwe wheel, so i thought to replace those.. IS this video a good guide?
